Another major Windsor property could be getting a new life.
The City of Windsor is officially looking for developers interested in redeveloping the former W.D. Lowe Secondary School site at 874 Giles Boulevard East.
The nearly 5-acre property includes the former school and school yard, and the City is looking for proposals that would bring new multi-unit housing to the site.
This is now the fifth City-owned property moving forward through Windsor’s Housing Solutions Made for Windsor strategy.
For anyone who knows this part of Windsor, this is a significant piece of land in an established neighbourhood. What eventually gets built here could have a real impact on the area for years to come.
Developers have until October 20 to submit their proposals.
What would you like to see happen with the old W.D. Lowe property?
