Proudly supporting our M2M Community neighbourhood through the Neighbour Link North York programs and services.
NeighbourLink is a community development organization. Their mission is to engage and empower neighbours to care for each other in practical, relational, and sustainable ways that gives everyone the opportunity to live out their potential. For over 25 years, NeighbourLink has been running a volunteer network made up of neighbours, local churches, and local businesses to serve neighbours dealing with food insecurity, social isolation, and poverty.
As we prepare for our 5th monthly food distribution day tomorrow, we are looking back to our food bank’s beginnings! After months of preparation, the 415 Food Hub launched for Thanksgiving back in October.
On this we remember this incredible day in October when our neighbours at Aoyuan Canada invested $10,000 in our dream to support families experiencing food insecurity at Willowdale’s local Toronto Community Housing Complex. These funds allowed us to purchase the necessary appliances and shelving to create the food bank. It also allowed us to purchase healthy produce for our clients. We are so grateful to them for supporting and investing in this mission that has been able to grow over the past 5 months.

Aoyuan’s motto is “building a healthy lifestyle” which ties in perfectly with our core value of providing healthy food. Tomorrow, over 80 families will receive fresh produce, poultry and dairy products! You can find out more about the food bank at our website! https://www.neighbourlink.org/foodhub
