On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, CAPREIT stands together with our communities in reflection, respect, and commitment. Today we honour the survivors and families who continue to feel the impact, and the voices of Indigenous communities who share their stories in order to foster healing, understanding, and meaningful change.
Wearing orange today serves as a reminder that every child matters and that the path to reconciliation requires ongoing learning, understanding, and respectful dialogue. As an organization, we remain committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where the diverse histories and cultures of Indigenous peoples are recognized and embraced.
