Big news for first-time home buyers: Check out GST rebate rules. For those looking at a new build, an owner-built home, or a co-op, here’s how you could save.

* Full GST rebate for homes priced up to $1M
* Partial rebate for home between $1M and $1.5M
* Applies to new builds, owner-built home, and co-op units
* The Date Matters: The purchase agreement must have been signed on or after March 20, 2025.
* The first-time buyer Rule: To qualify, the applicant (and their spouse) must not have owned a primary residence in the previous 4 calendar years.�
