This reel may make you laugh... but the story behind it is one of the most personal I've ever shared.
This one's for anyone who's ever struggled with fear, anxiety or a challenge others may not fully understand.
As a Realtor, I spend my days walking through homes and helping clients achieve one of life's biggest milestones. I genuinely love what I do.
But what most people don't see is the quiet internal battle I face every time I walk into a property, whether it's spotless or in need of a little TLC.
For most of my adult life, I've struggled with an overwhelming fear of germs. Some people call it being a germaphobe. Whatever you choose to call it, it's something I've worked incredibly hard to overcome.
Over the years, many people have asked me:
"Why would you choose a career in real estate if entering people's homes is one of your biggest challenges?"
My answer has always been the same.
Because I refused to let fear decide the direction of my life.
In many ways, becoming a Realtor has been one of the greatest forms of exposure therapy I could have given myself. Every showing, every open house and every client appointment has been another opportunity to take one small step forward.
Has it been easy?
Not even close.
Do I still have difficult days?
Absolutely.
But I remind myself that growth doesn't happen by avoiding the things that scare us. It happens by facing them ...one step, one home and one day at a time.
Helping my clients buy or sell a home is one of the greatest privileges of being a Realtor. That's why I've never wanted fear to stand in the way of doing what I love.
Ironically, what I once viewed as a weakness has become one of my greatest teachers. It's challenged me to become more resilient, more self-aware and stronger from within.
If you're quietly battling something that others can't see, I hope you know this...
You are not alone.
Your fears do not define you.
And no matter how small the steps may feel, every step forward is still progress.
You've got this.
With Love & Gratitude...🙏💛
