Today we went to the KZ Memorial Concentration Camp just outside Linz Austria. I wasn’t going to post today. I felt I am on vacation and didn’t want to disrespect all the people that were killed. Our guide Sandra asked us to post our experience. To share our stories. In her words, “The things that happened at this place should not of happened but sharing our stories is a tribute to all the people that died. Therefore I have decided to post. I would suggest you go see a prisoner of war camp or a concentration camp.

Aging in place refers to the concept of seniors living independently and comfortably in their own homes/ communities for as long as possible as they age. It's a desire shared by many older adults who wish to maintain their autonomy, familiar surroundings, and connections to their communities.

Step 1:
Home Modifications: Making modifications to the home can improve safety and accessibility for seniors. This may include installing grab bars in bathrooms, ramps or stairlifts for mobility-impaired individuals, wider doorways for wheelchair access, and lever-style door handles for easier use.

By providing support in various aspects of seniors' lives, aging in place can be a viable and fulfilling option for many older adults. It allows seniors to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while remaining connected to their communities and support networks.
