There aren't many floating homes in Toronto (25 to be exact) so when they come up for sale, they go fast. Many of them are sold off-market before they ever get listed on MLS. Finally some good news for home buyers that could make the bidding process fairer! In an email from the President of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB), she says they will be advocating to give realtors the ability to disclose the contents of offers in cases of multiple offers, providing all parties agree.

Blind bidding is part of what’s driving home prices up so much in Toronto. If buyers know the offers they’re competing against, they’ll be able to make much more informed and reasonable decisions. I agree with this and hope the government considers the proposal!

Market Watch April 2021: The big news is that while home sales in Toronto remained strong last month, both the number of total sales and the number of new listings dropped from the month before.
