Despite what the public was expecting the Bank of Canada has decided to maintain the record low interest-rate for a while longer! The Governor does mention a rate increase may be coming soon. What are your thoughts?

The Bank of Canada held interest rates unchanged but signaled it will tighten monetary policy in coming weeks to contain the highest inflation in three decades.

If there’s one thing I realized over the past year during my pursuit to becoming a realtor is that people our age are worried that they may never be able to buy their own house or condo. Happy New Year everyone, and yes, over the past year I’ve been working on getting my Real Estate Agent registration and I am happy to announce I am a registered realtor and have founded VeethSpace Real Estate at Homelife Galaxy Real Estate Ltd. Brokerage. Despite what you may see on the news or on blogs, purchasing a home is NOT impossible. The process may not be pretty, however, it doesn’t mean it’s impossible. A huge disadvantage our generation and even generations before ours have is that personal finance isn’t taught at school and for some reason talking about money seems to be a sensitive subject. Over the past year along with teaching myself about real estate, I did a ton of research about personal finance and how to one day become a homeowner myself. I ask you to follow along as I intend on posting what I am doing when it comes to personal finance and things you can do NOW, so you too can become a homeowner in the future. Personal finance is crucial yet not taught about in school, however, that shouldn’t leave US at a disadvantage. I look forward to our mutual growth and success this year!
