MARCH GTA STATS 📈

• 11,000 home sales in GTA representing third-best March and second-best first quarter on record

• Avg price dipped slightly month-over-month to around $1.299 from $1.334

• Avg price increased 18.5% same time last year

• Competition between home buyers in GTA remains very strong in most neighbourhoods and market segments. More balanced conditions in the first quarter compared to last year and if this trend continues the pace of price growth could moderate as we move through the year

Reasons housing may stay strong moving forward and after rate hikes:

• Canada has 424 units per 1,000 people which is the lowest avg housing supply per capita in G7 (much of this represented in GTA)
