🏗️ Ontario’s housing minister has introduced new legislation aimed at fast-tracking home construction — but admits the province is off track to hit its 1.5 million homes target in 10 years.

Key changes include:

Fewer studies for developers

Streamlined fees and permits

Easier use of Minister’s Zoning Orders (raising concerns from critics)

$400M boost for infrastructure
