Were excited to announce the opening of our new Community Support Department. This department has various programs that give back to the communities we do business with. Its main goal is to set up structure that encourages commercial, residential and strata property owners to connect with the people in the community in ways that benefit each other. Our pilot programs are the "Give Back" and "Need Hours" programs.
The "Give Back" program operates in the following way. For every 5 jobs° we receive where the jobs are completed by people from the community, we give one community job* for free. For every 10 jobs° we receive where the jobs are completed by people from other communities we give one community job* for free.
° These jobs can be of any type,cost or size as long as we provide the service from one of our departments.
* Community jobs are jobs that are done on community service property. I.E community center, school, daycare°°, playground or any space where the community can gather. Check our website for what types of jobs we do for community jobs.
°° As long as the daycare is not privately owned.
The "Need Hours" program operates the following way. It provides paid, volunteer and apprenticeship hours. Depending on the type of job, we can have apprentices fullfill their hours on your job, with your approval of course. It offers volunteer hours to youth or whomever may need them to pass high school or diploma, with your approval of course. It provides paid hours for work. No matter the type of hours needed we always give the job first to people from within the community where the job is.
