Don’t know what to look out for when buying a condominium in Toronto? Start with these three points!

1. First is location, location, location! 🎯Make sure you buy in an area that is of your liking and that will appreciate in value over time. Securing your investment is key. 🔐

2. Second is status certificate. Make sure your status certificate is up to par by reviewing it with your lawyer. It’ll give you a general snapshot of the condo, and if there are any special assessments. 🔎📑

3. Finally, make sure you are aware of what kind of parking you’re getting, and make friends with your security guards. It’ll go a long way. 👮‍♂️🚗

Did you know that there is a difference between a customer and a client when it comes to buying/selling real estate? 🏡

As a client, your brokerage owes you certain duties and vice versa. Your agent has a ton more obligations to you, one of them being that they must protect your best interests. 🛡

Being a customer, you are not owed these same duties. The brokerage is expected, however, to present facts known and to treat customers with fairness and integrity. 👍

Choosing the right agent can be difficult, and it’s definitely one of the most important parts of a real estate transaction. Remember to always test drive your agent before putting anything in writing! 🚗 👨‍💼

Always look for indicators like the ones I mentioned in order to vet out the right agent. Don’t ever feel pressured into singing anything! If you’re feeling pressured then something is more than likely wrong. You most definitely do not want to have any hesitation signing that paper!📄📑

So yes, do take your time in finding the right agent, it will help your situation more than you know! 👍
