We refinished the original hardwood floors, preserved the existing wood casings, introduced a limewashed arch to create a seamless connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas, added a cozy breakfast nook, and designed a separate reading nook with built-in storage below. New lighting ties the entire space together, creating a warm, timeless, and inviting home.

This dining room transformation focused on preserving its original character while bringing it into the modern day. We refinished the original hardwood floors instead of replacing them, restored the original sliding door, installed new lighting and updated the electrical, and added a new fireplace as a beautiful focal point. By maximizing natural light and carefully planning every detail—including full tile layouts with no awkward cuts—we created a space that feels brighter, warmer, and built to last.
