The stars finally aligned and I made it back to Michigan this past month. 🌿

I used to go every year as a kid, visiting family down there was just an annual tradition. Somewhere along the way, eight years of building a business happened, and the trip kept getting pushed. After a very busy February and March, my schedule finally opened up, my mom and aunt pulled me out the door, and I knew we needed this, I packed up the kids and we went.
We sang, we danced, and laughed until it hurt. And in between, we fit in a little bit of everything:

🦋 Butterfly exhibit, the kids mastered the art of holding butterflies and were so proud of themselves

🦁 A zoo we used to visit as kids, still just as good

🎨 My aunt’s art exhibit, she is so incredibly talented, seeing her work on display was so special

🛍️ Shopping, which I don’t get enough of these days being a busy mom of two!

🍽️ Really great dinner out 😉

A little weekend reset 🤍

Last weekend we celebrated Tom’s birthday with something that feels rare and so needed, a couple of days just the two of us. No schedules, no rushing, just good food, good times, and a chance to breathe (sort of 😅)… and it went by way too fast.

We kicked things off Friday with panzerottis at , if you haven’t tried their panzerotti, you must go and try, only available on Friday’s!

we sat in the lounge and had the wine pairings, such incredible, funky wines and the food is so unique, each dish tells its own story. I love the cozy and thoughtful vibe. It is located right in the heart of Leslieville - highly recommend!

Eaton Centre is a must see right now with tons of Black Friday deals and a fun Disney+ pop up featuring photo sets from Home Alone and The Simpsons. This is a perfect spot for family photos or a fun outing with the kids. The pop up runs through Monday, December 1.

Want lights, music and skating under the stars? The Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square happens tonight, Saturday, November 29, starting at 6 p.m. with the official tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy dazzling LED displays, live performances and the festive skating rink, ideal for a cozy family outing.

Looking for something more relaxed but still festive? The Evergreen Winter Market at Evergreen Brick Works is open this weekend starting Sunday, November 30, with handmade gifts, local treats, cozy fire pit vibes, kids activities and live performances, a lovely low key way to enjoy the season together.
