I can see this community being transformed into a city within a large city over the next few years. Retailers are opening up shop in the new year at Westlake Village (Metro, Shoppers Drug Mart, TD Bank, cafes, and more) to service a community that has been hungry for more retail. If you’ve visited the area lately, you can now easily envision a vibrant littlecity coming up. At Westlake Village, there is immense interest from top retailers as the first three phases and storefronts and shops in the village are quickly taking shape.

Etobicoke's Humber Bay Shores is growing quickly. The area has great views across Lake Ontario to the Toronto skyline, and now a growing residential base that will support lots of retail and restaurant uses at Westlake Village.

"For the finale in its “true urban village” design along Etobicoke’s waterfront, the Onni Group of Companies has launched the site’s fourth and final building overlooking Humber Pay Park and Mimico Creek.

Westlake Encore is the last phase of the Vancouver-based firm’s master-planned community. The 45-storey glass tower — at Lake Shore Blvd. and Park Lawn Rd., on the northern side of Onni’s Westlake Village — will have 515 condos that range from 450-square-foot studios to 1,270-square-foot, two-bedroom-plus-den suites."
