Just Listed | 663 Eglinton Ave East
$1,525,000 | Leaside

3+1 bedrooms, 2 full baths
Renovated kitchen and main floor family room addition
Walkout to a large deck and interlocking patio
Backs onto Leaside High School and Howard Talbot Park

Detached in Leaside doesn’t come up often at this price. The main floor family room addition opens onto a big deck and a backyard with mature trees, which is the part people usually fall for. Upstairs the bath has an extra-large glass enclosed shower and a designer vessel sink. The finished basement adds a fourth bedroom, an updated 4-piece bath, wainscoting, French doors, built-in shelves, and its own walk up to the yard.

The backyard sides onto Leaside High School and Howard Talbot Park, so there’s green space right behind you. The new LRT station at Bayview is a short walk, and from there it’s about five minutes to Yonge.

Just Sold | Penthouse 6, 955 O’Connor Drive

It was truly a pleasure to assist my clients through this process, and I am absolutely over the moon for them on the sale of their condo.

From listing day to closing, they trusted me every step of the way, and that trust is something I never take for granted.

Wishing them nothing but the best in the next chapter. Thank you for allowing me to be part of it.

If you are thinking of selling your home, I would love to hear from you. Send me a message anytime.

At this point I should just start paying rent in the Distillery 🤣

Back again today, and of course I ended up at Cluny Bistro & Boulangerie I’ve been here more times than I can count, with friends, with family, on my own. It never misses.

The French menu is the star, but do not sleep on the boulangerie side. The bread and the pastries alone are worth the trip. Service was excellent as always, and their private room is genuinely one of the nicest spots in the city for a party or a dinner with a big group.

Summer down here is unbeatable. Cobblestone, patios everywhere, something always going on. If you’re wandering the Distillery on a sunny day, Cluny is a no-brainer. Go, order too much, thank me later.

More from around the city coming to the page soon.

The Distillery has gone full country until August 23, and there are only ten days left to catch it.

Live music on the Trinity Stage every day, free line dancing lessons (beginner Fridays, intermediate Wednesdays), a mechanical bull, carnival games and western photo ops. Stick around Friday or Saturday night for Nashville Nights with DJs, or come during the day for the BBQ and festival menus at the restaurants around the district.

Admission is free, it runs from 1pm until late, and it is family and pet friendly.

55 Mill St. One of my favourite reasons to be downtown in August.

Selling one home and buying another at the same time is a lot to carry. There’s a lot going on, and it’s easy to feel like everything is happening around you instead of with you.

I never want a client to feel that way. If you ever wonder where things stand or why something is happening, I want you to already know, because I’ve told you.

That’s the part I care most about.

🕯️ Two hours, eight candles, and a scent you picked yourself.

Most craft classes send you home with an object. The candle making workshop at Yummi Candles in the Distillery District sends you home with a smell. You blend your own fragrances, pour your own wax, customize the labels, and leave with eight jars that smell like exactly what you wanted.

Go with friends. Go with your mom. Go with the person who never has an idea for a Saturday. And when you’re done, the whole Distillery District is right outside your door. ✨

Coffee tour, next stop: Eataly at the Distillery ☕️🇮🇹

Cobblestones, live music drifting across the courtyard, a patio seat in the sun 🎶☀️ Nice weather made it easy to stay a while.

It’s tucked into the lower level of Gotstyle at 21 Trinity, and it’s more than a coffee counter. Illy espresso, Italian pastries and gelato 🍦 farcita sandwiches if you want something more than a snack, plus a shelf of imported pantry stuff like pasta, olive oil and chocolate if you feel like taking a bit of Italy home 🛍️ The patio out front is the real draw.

Yummi Candles | 10 Trinity Street, Distillery District 🕯️

Some places in this city have been quietly doing their thing for decades. Yummi has been family run since 1976, started by the Stratakos brothers, and every candle is still poured right here in Toronto.

You smell it before you are fully through the door. Not one scent either, but layers of them shifting as you move through the room, with hundreds of candles lined up by colour behind it all.

Speaking of which. I may or may not have done one of their candle-making workshops recently 🤫 Keep an eye on the page over the next few days.

Follow along for more about some of Toronto’s best neighbourhoods, small businesses, and communities that make this city worth living in.
