This morning I had several clients email me asking what was happening with the market. There have been attention-grabbing headlines in the media lately with predictions for the year.

With the Stay-at-home orders in effect, real estate is allowed to continue as an essential service but the direction being given is that selling and purchasing should only take place when critical. Sellers are delaying bringing their properties to market until things open up and it is safer to do so. But buyers haven't gone anywhere and are not letting any opportunities pass by. There is so little on the market (for freehold) that we are seeing an escalating of bidding wars and high prices.

Despite a trepid 2020, the condo market is also starting to rebound. The prevailing theory is that the market has bottomed out and demand is increasing.
