🍻🍺Here⬇️ are 6 picks across Toronto, mixing breweries and restaurants with good neighborhood spread:
1 Bellwoods Brewery — It’s been around since 2012 and honestly hasn’t gotten any less good, which says a lot for a Toronto craft brewery. The Ossington taproom is low-key and unpretentious, so go for the Jutsu IPA and stay longer than you planned.
2 Blood Brothers Brewing — The Geary Ave spot has this cool old-stable vibe and they actually smoke their meats in the same kegs where they age their beer. Grab the smoked brisket sandwich alongside whatever’s rotating on tap.
3 Avling — Leslieville’s favourite brew-with-a-kitchen pulls ingredients from the rooftop garden, so the menu genuinely tastes like it was made that week. The fish and chips with the house lager is the move.
4 Canoe — If you want to go all out, the view from the 54th floor of the TD Tower alone is worth it, and the food actually lives up to the room. The butter-poached lobster is a splurge that pays off.
5 Mill Street Brewpub — There’s something fun about drinking locally-brewed beer inside a 19th-century distillery, and the patio in summer doesn’t hurt. Start with the Original Organic Lager and grab a seat outside if it’s sunny.
6 Carbon Bar — If your dad’s a meat and bourbon guy, this King Street spot is a no-brainer. The smoked brisket is excellent, and the bourbon list is long enough to keep him happy for a while.
