Renovated in 6 Weeks, SOLD in 4 days!
My client called me and explained that they had a family member unfortunately pass away and she was now tasked with selling their home.
The house was built in the early 1900s and had very little work done to it since. We had a choice - sell the house as is or renovate in attempt to try to uplift the value. Confident that we could manage the renovations fairly quickly, we chose the latter.
Together we created a plan to renovate the house top to bottom with a goal to list for the fall market.
Within a couple of days we had the trades come by to quote and within a week the painter and flooring guys started. Using my industry connections, we were able to start right away.
From start to finish this listing involved:
- Replaced all flooring with beautiful new vinyl white oak style floors
- Removed old wallpaper and painted the entire house walls, baseboards and doors, giving the house a fresh bright new look
- Installed new bathroom vanities, sinks, toilets, faucets in each washroom
- Introduced all new light fixtures, which added character to the house and significant light to the space
- Refinished all kitchen cabinet doors, installed new quartz counter tops and brand new appliances, with our goal being to blend the old solid wood cabinets with the new to create a blended modern look, without taking on the expense of installing a brand new kitchen
- Landscaped outdoor area to improve curb appeal
The house was then perfectly staged for a first time home buyer, helping the buyers envision and fall in love with a new lifestyle for themselves, living in this home.
