The summer weather seems to have finally arrived in Toronto, and with it comes some potentially good news in the Real Estate market. May brought a tightening of market conditions as some buyers began stepping off the sidelines. While headlines note that sales are up compared to last year, it is worth noting that May 2025 wasn't a great month in real estate, so we need to be cautious with that comparison. The real story right now is inventory: fewer new listings are coming to market, meaning the standing inventory is slowly being absorbed. Despite fewer options, buyers still hold substantial negotiating power, and the broader market remains steady rather than rushed.
