Mariko Kataoka has been a member of the Babiak Team since 2014 and has served in many capacities including: administrator, staging coordinator and, for the past four years, sales representative. riko grew up in Swansea and attended Swansea P.S & Humberside C.I. She obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a graduate certificate from Durham College. Before entering real estate, her work experience included managing an aquatics facility and serving as a Diversity Officer at her alma mater, Durham College. In her leisure time, Mariko can be found up north at the cottage with her partner Scott and sweet dog Ludo, going on nature walks, swimming at the beach or managing construction projects! She also enjoys painting and playing the piano. Mariko is focused, attentive, honest, motivated and has the backing of the best team in the west end.

Sharing some of my favourite brunch spots in the west end. Great food, great coffee, and consistent service every time.

1) The Commoner - 2067 Dundas St W (Roncesvalles)
Great comfort food. The pancakes and breakfast burger are excellent.

2) Easy Restaurant - 1645 Queen St W (Queen and Roncesvalles)
A neighbourhood staple. The huevos divorciados or the Queen Western omelette are great.

3) Kitchen on Sixth - 2976 Lake Shore Blvd W (Etobicoke)
British-inspired brunch with big portions. The full english breakfast is the most popular.

4) The Ace - 231 Roncesvalles Ave (Roncesvalles)
Michelin star-rated but casual. The Ace benny is excellent.

How can you buy a home in a competitive market without overpaying?

In a competitive market, buyers can feel pressure to present offers above asking. But paying more isn't always the answer.

The key is having a clear strategy. Know your budget, have your pre-approval in place, and stick to the number you're comfortable with.
