Thanks to Waterview Dental
Remember that we spoke about Amir having a brother in Canada? Well we feel lucky to be spending time getting to know and supporting Amir & Raghda’s family as well as Salma & Akram’s family, Amir’s brother and sister-in-law. There has been a tremendous amount of joy and learning as the two families have gotten more settled, learned more english, and even met old neighbours from their hometown Homs at a Syrian mixer!
Throughout this process we’ve continued to be amazed by the generosity and compassion of everyone involved — a community of people with a great amount of care and the will to contribute. Today this was demonstrated once again, by the kindness of Dr.Angelo Poulos and the team at Waterview Dental on Queens Quay.
When Dr. Poulos found out about the dental pain faced by Salma and Akram he was so kind to offer the services of his clinic free of charge. Fitting them into an already tight schedule he provided top notch care- he even found time for a root canal! This is something that the family could not have afforded, but was essential for their health and well being. Dr. Poulos went above and beyond and booked another morning of treatments next week to ensure all their dental needs were taken care of. Thanks to Dr. Poulos, everyone is sleeping much better tonight.
