Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I’ve yet to reply to any because… BIG news! We’re moving 🙂
Picked up a piece of land in Peachland BC (Kelowna) that’s basically a protected Forrest with an animal corridor that runs next to us = bears, cougars, moose and more!
It was scary because when we arrived we had no cell, text, internet?! Nothing for 10 days. It’s all been sorted.
That would have been a BIG oops. Not having internet or phone is kinda needed for my line of work.
Next problem to deal with? Skirting and winterproofing the RV.
I’ve been working my tail off acting as Builder Bob:
- Lifted the RV so now I have the height to stand my bikes up in a garage + roll a boat under.
- Built the frame, insulated and weather wrapped
- finished wood exterior so it looks good + gives lockable storage
- 4 gates with access. 2 of them I can fully stand in!
- weather proofed the plumbing
- added rocks to build walls and ramps
The list goes on. I needed to learn it all from scratch.
I’m about to catch a flight today for Florida and got the last peice of wood up last night!! Just in time. We’re ready for the snow.
Anyways. This is why I’ve been MIA on socials. Just too busy… but feeling much more relieved now I got the hard stuff done.
This spring we’re extending the land a bit and adding fresh rock.
Apparently this is a hummingbird paradise in the summer!! I’m super pumped.
Excited to start boating and explore Okanagan Lake, all the bike trails and sooo much adventures to come. This next chapter is gonna be fun.
