🏡 Ontario HST Rebate Update (2026)

Big change for new home buyers — and it’s not just for first-time buyers anymore.

Starting April 1, 2026 (proposed), Ontario plans to expand the HST rebate on newly built homes to all eligible buyers, including investors.

💰 What this means:

• Up to $130,000 in tax savings
• Full rebate applies to homes up to $1.5M
• Partial rebate up to $1.85M
• Applies to primary residence OR rental properties

📊 Real examples:

• $900K home → save ~$117K
• $1.2M home → save ~$130K
• $1.5M home → save ~$130K
• $1.7M home → save ~$80K
