Background story: Over a year ago I assisted my client in purchasing this “fixer upper”. To say it was outdated was an understatement! These before pictures look too good to be honest when we saw the real condition of the home, but my client assured me that once they got to work, it would be night and day. Well they delivered and I’m happy to say that the place never looked better! Complete with new flooring, pot lights, stainless steel appliances, freshly painted from top to bottom and they even turned a two piece powder room into a full bathroom.

The Parkwood Estate is such an incredible place to visit this time of year. The decorations are extravagant, the whole mansion feels magical, and did you know they have a long list of popular movies that were filmed there such as Billy Madison and X-Men?

Inspired by early 20th century Beaux-Arts design, the mansion was built between 1915-1917.

The mansion represents a rare residential design by architects Darling and Pearson, the team who are widely credited as an outstanding influence on Canadian institutional architecture.

Highly recommended to visit this is beautiful piece of history if you have not done so yet!
