🐾 Charlie is 6 Today 🐾

I could write pages and pages and pages about how Charlie makes me better every day and why she is the best thing I have ever done with my life. She gives me purpose, she makes me smile, she makes me find reserves of patience I didn’t know I had, she makes me cry happy tears, she makes me walk in the sun, snow, sleet, and rain.

But most of all, she makes me happy.

As each year passes now, Charlie’s jumps get a little smaller, her runs a little slower, her sleeps a little longer. But her bum wiggles and kisses have not slowed down and she is as happy to see me every day as I am to see her. I love her and she loves me.

To the part of my heart that beats outside my body.

Oh hey there 👋🏼

Long time no see! Guess who’s back and in their glasses era? ✨ 👓 That’s right - the frames are on and the mission is clear (literally and figuratively)!

Been spending my days recently working with the most amazing friends and clients (who are basically like family). Nothing feels more special than helping people you care about transition from their beloved family home to their perfect new condo space.

It’s so nice to work with clients looking to downsize - it’s so freeing! Less space, less maintenance, more living 🏡 —> 🌇

These transitions are filled with a little bit of nostalgia but a whole lot of excitement - sorting through decades of memories but looking forward to creating new ones. I am beyond grateful to be the one .franal trusted with such an important decision.

The real estate journey hits differently when you get to work with people you love 🥰

🐾 Charlie is 5 Today 🐾

What an amazing adventure these past five years have been - filled with countless walks, endless games of fetch, cozy naps in the sun, splashes in the lake, and chasing squirrels through the field. To my dog, who loves a clean fleece blanket to sleep on but won’t wear a jacket even in -30, eats everything but hates fish in the morning, growls at puppies but hasn’t met a person she doesn’t love, licks you right in the mouth but won’t let you touch her paws, can jump six feet in the air but not into the back of the car.

To the part of my heart that beats outside my body.

Run, Charlie, run
With the heart of a rebel child

Be just as free as you are wild

Today, my Charlie was awarded a City of Pickering 2023 Civic Award - her second - for her work with displaced, marginalised, and unhoused people.

In a world of good dogs - Charlie is THE best.

She makes people smile. She loves without conditions. She gives people purpose. She will take on all your troubles.

I haven’t gotten everything right in my life, but I got it right with this dog. She is my pride and joy. She is the love of my life. She is the reason I work hard. She is the reason I get up every morning. She is my Bubbalicious 💕

2023 was undeniably a tough year for the real estate market. 🤯

In fact, 2023 property sales in the GTA were at an all-time low (since 2002) and there was a significant increase in available properties compared to the previous year.

Because of high mortgage rates and more stringent pre-qualification standards, many people could not afford the resale market prices, and a huge emphasis was placed on the rental market. 🏡

The question everyone is asking right now, “Is the 2024 housing market in Toronto awakening from its slumber?” 😴

Experts are still uncertain about the outlook of this year’s real estate market, and ultimately, the market dynamics will hinge on affordability.

But, the general consensus seems to be that the halt in rising interest rates is positively influencing people’s enthusiasm in real estate. But, we are going to need more than just a break in interest rates to motivate buyers and sellers to get back in the game. 🙌🏼

Note about this sweater - I visited to try on the different styles. Most fits are not made for people with curves or b***s. I’m glad I went in person to try this on because they are pricey but very warm and well made. Also the staff at were AMAZING, so helpful, and provided honest feedback.
