Norwegian Cruise Line Tour of Portugal & Spain - May 29 to June 09, 2026 With GEM Tours and Travels .travels
I would like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to Jyotinbhai, Tinabhabhi, Bhavya and Megha for the absolutely exceptional arrangements made for our Portugal and Spain cruise experience.
This was my first cruise ever, and honestly, I was quite nervous before the trip. I have always had a concern about motion sickness and was unsure whether a cruise would be the right experience for me. However, from the moment we boarded the Norwegian Dawn, all my fears disappeared. The ship was strong, sturdy, comfortable, and full of wonderful facilities and activities for every age group. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or anxious. Instead, I felt relaxed, cared for, and fully able to enjoy this beautiful journey with family and friends.
Travelling with Jyotinbhai is truly an honour. His experience, knowledge, planning and attention to detail are exceptional. Every small thing was thought of in advance. From the airport transfers and hotel arrangements in Lisbon, to the sightseeing, cruise boarding, shore excursions, meals, timing, coordination and group comfort, everything was handled with perfection. It was very clear throughout the trip that Jyotinbhai does not simply arrange tours — he takes personal responsibility for every traveller’s comfort and happiness.
The itinerary itself was beautifully planned. We began in Lisbon with a wonderful city tour, followed by Sintra and Cascais, where every location was selected with great thought. The cruise journey then gave us unforgettable experiences at each port — the Benagil Sea Cave from Portimão, the magnificent beauty of Seville and the Royal Alcázar, the charm of Málaga and the white village of Mijas, the unique experience of Gibraltar, the energy and beauty of Ibiza, the scenic elegance of Palma de Mallorca, Valldemossa and Port de Sóller, and finally the grand arrival into Barcelona with Montjuïc, Poble Espanyol, the Flamenco show, Sagrada Família and La Rambla.
What made the trip even more special was the way everything was timed and organized. Cruise excursions can often feel rushed or stressful, but with Gem Tours, every port visit was planned so efficiently that we could enjoy the sightseeing without worrying about logistics. The instructions were clear, the meeting points were well managed, and the group was always guided with care. This kind of discipline and planning only comes from years of experience.
A very special mention must also be made for the food arrangements. For Jain travellers and vegetarian families, food is often one of the biggest concerns when travelling internationally, especially on a cruise. But Jyotinbhai and the Gem Tours team made sure that delicious meals, including Jain meals, were arranged in Lisbon, Barcelona and throughout the cruise. The special section organized for the Gem Tours group for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the 7-night cruise made us feel comfortable, respected and truly taken care of.
For families, senior travellers, Jain travel groups, vegetarian travellers, or any group with special food and comfort requirements, I can confidently say that Gem Tours is the only choice! They understand our needs, they respect our preferences, and they make sure that we are not just travelling, but travelling with peace of mind.
This trip was not only a cruise from Portugal to Spain — it became a collection of memories that we will cherish forever. We saw beautiful places, enjoyed wonderful food, travelled with a lovely group, and most importantly, felt cared for at every step.
