#3 Do not forget to inspect the roof and clean the gutters
Check for damaged shingles, cracks, and other obvious signs of damage. Gutter cleaning may not be your most favourite chore, but it sure is important. Especially during the fall season, cleaning out your gutters from debris keeps rainwater moving and not collecting inside your home.

#4 Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
Make sure you check, test and replace all batteries on your smoke detectors and make sure they still work. Additionally, it is important for you to invest in a carbon monoxide detector. This odourless and colourless gas is near impossible to identify without a detector, as it is caused by fuels not burning completely, which can come from clothes dryers, water heaters, and fireplaces.

What Would “Affordable” Home Prices Actually Mean for the Canadian Economy?

▪️ The impossible has happened: Canadian house prices — which, as everyone knows, only ever go up — have started coming down. With mortgage rates jumping to their highest levels since 2009, borrowers have found themselves with far less buying power than they had even at the start of this year — and it shows.
