My perspective as someone actively selling, running a business, and raising a family.
When I joined Origin, I promised myself I’d give it a fair shot before forming an opinion. Now that I’m several months in, I can say this: the structure makes sense, and it works for me.
✨ The split and cap are straightforward.
Previous Brokerage
• Split: 70% to agent
• Monthly fees: $250
• GCI: $150,000
• Take-home: $108,000
(Not including marketing materials, signs, office costs, and other overhead.)
Origin Collective
• Split: 90/10 with a $15,000 cap, then 100% commission (no fees)
• Monthly fees: $0
• Desk fees: $0
• Franchise fees: $0
• GCI: $150,000
The difference = $27,000! And that’s before Collective Growth, where I can permanently eliminate my cap and improve my split.
✨ The structure rewards growth.
As I build my Collective Network, my split improves and my cap decreases, and I keep more. I refer agents and it’s automated - no recruitment, no MLM, no pressure, no quotas, and no complicated hierarchies. I’m building my way to passive income - Origin pays up to 50% of the cap contributions in my referral network.
For me?
I like the clarity. And I like keeping more of what I earn.
The prospecting and marketing support is amazing and their tech is great.
Between real estate, family, and everything else life throws at you, simplicity matters.
