Some people's reason for downsizing is for helping their grandchildren buy a property while also buying themselves a smaller condo after selling their large family home. It is easier to maintain a condo than your large home as we grow older. When selling your home, you will be able to buy yourself a condominium for you and have some money left over to invest. Or you can consider buying one for you and one for your grandchild, it is a great investment to help your loved ones. Just a thought for some grandparents to consider, another great reason to downsize.
