The Ones winery is located in Summerland, BC, where they have been plagued with wildfires recently. They appear to have survived the fires and are fulfilling orders again.

Went to a garden party at Sue’s home on Saturday in The Blue Mountains with my good friend Sheila. The theme was a hawaiian luau and we were all presented with lei’s when we arrived. After a very light, brief shower we were gifted with a rainbow.

It was a fun weekend, shopping in Thornbury (did some damage), swimming at Sheila’s lovely home, and dinner at Tesoro’s. It’s nice to escape the city occasionally and travel where it’s greener and enjoy being immersed in nature.

Continuing on with my research into low or no alcohol wines, I tried this Spanish Granacha Syrah. There are a lot of nice Spanish wines out there, but this is not one of them. It wasn’t as bad as the Chardonnay, but I can’t call it good. I may try a second glass before dumping it down the drain. I still have a bottle of Chilean Cab Sauv to test, and if that also is a fail, I’m giving up on what’s in the LCBO. Ones, which occasionally is in stock there, wasn’t bad, and I found a store in the east end that carries that brand. So I’m passing on the LCBO for now but plan to get creative and check out check out other options.
