I used to drive a $600 Honda Civic in high school. I’m pretty sure it had been in a roll over accident. It had a crack on the side of the windshield with caulking on it but it would still leak when it rained and would wet the seats releasing a foul smell….
Here’s a list of cars I’ve had throughout the years:
- 1998 Chevy Cavalier (mom’s car)
- 1991 Hyundai Scoupe (sister’s car that I always drove. I also spray painted this car from teal to black)
- 1992 Honda Civic (my own car finally)
- 2001 Honda Accord Coupe (my first “nice” car)
- Brand new 2008 Honda Fit my first brand new car! These were my smarter years and I already had two properties by this time)
- 2010 Mercedes C300 (I started in real estate and obviously had to upgrade the image)
- 2012 Mercedes E350
- 2014 Mercedes E400 Coupe
- 2015 Mercedes GLK
- 2017 Mercedes CLS
- 2019 Tesla Model S
I switched cars a little too often between 2010 and 2019 which was stupid because I could’ve put the money towards an additional investment property.
My favorite car of all time to this day was the Honda Fit (manual). It was cheap, quick, small, roomy, fun to drive and I was not on the cops radar lol. Second favorite is the Tesla! Especially with these gas prices!
I’ve always had an itch for cars but ever since I became a member of it’s given me an opportunity to drive different cars without the maintenance, storage, and depreciation. They’ve also created a great atmosphere for members to connect and tons of events to take part in.
I truly believe the membership concept is the future. Just like Turo, Airbnb and this car club, you won’t need to commit and own something to enjoy it!
