🏗️ Toronto is saying goodbye to a retail landmark. The former Hudson’s Bay at Centerpoint Mall, once a shopping staple since 1974 is now being reduced to rubble. After closing in 2025, the site sat abandoned for a year, but demolition is finally underway to make room for the Yonge North Subway Extension.

This $5.6‑billion project will add five new stations and connect Finch Station north into Vaughan, Markham, and Richmond Hill. While it’s bittersweet to see a piece of local retail history disappear, it’s also exciting to watch Toronto’s future take shape with generational transit growth.
