Throwing it back to our trip to Berlin. One of those destinations I’d dreamed about since childhood. Finally checking it off my bucket list was nothing short of surreal.
From the deep historical ties this city and country share with my own family’s immigration story, to the layers of history etched into every street, it was powerful, emotional, and unforgettable.

Standing at the former site of the Berlin Wall, walking through Checkpoint Charlie, and seeing the iconic Brandenburg Gate were just a few of the highlights. But it was also the everyday pulse of modern Berlin—the street art, the sounds, the energy - that made this experience truly special.

Amy, It was an absolute blast having you here and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to spend a couple of weeks with during what turned out to be a very rainy and chaotic month - sorry you didn’t get much of the Spanish sun 🌧️☀️

I’m so glad I got to introduce you to the Spanish lifestyle and explore some amazing cities together from Barcelona to Toledo, and of course, back to our home base in Madrid.

There’s something so special about getting to experience these adventures with you now as adults, just like we did as teens. It’s like no time has passed at all.
