Ya rab I say with fervent plea
The finest way to start, you see
The best way to start anything I say
With effervescence for this bright shining day
Deep within me lies your grace
Carrying me through all I face
Up and down the challenges we go
Sending light to friend and foe
Speaking to me through the simplest things
Just up to me to catch the beats.
A perpetual presence in all I undertake,
Opportunities for renewal in every way.
A daily white canvas I can paint
With colours of love, that is quaint
This path I’m embarked on can always change
Up to me how I arrange,
My thoughts, my words and my deeds
Removing all the extra weeds.
Stepping closer to my ideal self
dusting off parts lying dormant on the shelf.
Time to run, discover and seek
Shedding light on all that’s bleak.
Cheers to days of endless grace,
And to many more victories to embrace.
