At Mackie Homes we are proud to recognize the women who contribute to our every day operations and success. From our team members working behind the scenes, rockstar realtors, the women who contribute to the ‘boots on the ground’ work on site and of course to the homeowners who trust us to build the houses they call home.
Women in construction have been breaking barriers in what once was very much a male-dominated industry and in recent years we’ve seen a powerful shift in the Ottawa homebuilding industry where women are showing up for each others not as competitors, but as supporters and trusted sounding boards. We’ve been fortunate to experience this firsthand, forming friendships and professional relationships we can lean on in both the best of times and the toughest of times alongside our male counterparts.

The continues here at Mackie Homes. Yesterday, we dropped off gift cards from No Frills to the TAP Teachers Against Poverty headquarters at 118 John St.. These gift cards will help provide Christmas dinner for 10 local families this year. But the need is still great. T.A.P. is working hard to fulfill:

71 more Christmas dinners
80 breakfast baskets
42 children’s baskets
63 teen packs
**all within the next two weeks.
