Metro Vancouver Buyers Enjoy More Choices in Real Estate Market
Even with the current climate offering what many would consider favourable buying conditions, Metro Vancouver’s real estate market has seen a 4.6% drop in sales year-over-year this August. The combination of slowed immigration, reduced investor interest, and elevated mortgage rates has shifted the dynamics for buyers and sellers alike. The benchmark price in Metro Vancouver is now $1,081,900—a 5.6% decrease—while Fraser Valley experienced a sharper 14% decline in sales and a 7% price drop to $869,900.
Having navigated many market cycles over the years, I understand how quickly conditions can change—and how important it is to approach each shift with care and perspective. My focus remains on guiding clients through the complexities of our market, always prioritizing their best interests. Experience has taught me that even in quieter times, there are opportunities for those willing to look a little deeper and make informed decisions.
