Most Realtors don’t intentionally stop following up.

They get busy.

A showing comes up.
A deal gets complicated.
A new lead needs attention.
Life happens.

And suddenly, someone you meant to reconnect with three weeks ago is still sitting in your CRM.

That’s why good follow-up shouldn’t depend entirely on your memory.

💡 A few simple ways to close the follow-up gap:

✔️ Schedule it immediately. When you finish a conversation, set your next follow-up date in your CRM before moving on.

✔️ Create a weekly follow-up block. Even 20–30 minutes dedicated to reconnecting can help keep relationships from slipping through the cracks.

✔️ Segment your database. Organize contacts by where they are in their real estate journey so you can follow up with relevant, timely information.

The right systems, reminders, and support make consistency easier, even when business gets busy.

Because sometimes the opportunity is already there!

What's Your Time Worth?

5 Hours a Week.
260 Hours a Year.
What could you do with them?

Five hours doesn’t sound like much.

Until you multiply it by 52 weeks.

That’s 260 hours a year.

If five hours of your week are disappearing into admin, marketing and other tasks that don’t necessarily require you, what could those 260 hours look like instead?

More prospecting?

More client meetings?

More time building relationships?

More evenings where you actually close the laptop?

Your time has a cost—even when you’re not paying an invoice for it.

Maybe you don’t need an assistant.

Maybe you need five hours of help.

Maybe you need someone to finally clean up your CRM.

Maybe you need your social media handled consistently.

Maybe you need support during a busy month.

Maybe there’s just ONE thing you’re ready to stop doing yourself.

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.

At SK, that’s exactly why we offer flexible support. You don’t have to fit your business into a predetermined package or pay for services you don’t need.

Need admin support, but want to handle your own marketing? Great.

Want us to take social media off your plate, but nothing else? We can do that too.

Need more support during a busy season and less when things slow down? We can work with that.

A lean business is about having the right amount of support for where your business is right now.

And as your business changes, your support can change with it.

You don’t need to hire an entire position. You just need help with the things that are taking you away from what you do best.

We’re growing and we’ve been waiting to share this one. ✨

SK is officially expanding our services to include Coaching & Consulting for real estate professionals.

And we’re incredibly excited to welcome Pilar Brooks, MSc to the SK team.

Pilar is an organizational psychologist, behavioural scientist, and executive coach who brings a rare combination of academic expertise, evidence-based practice, and firsthand experience working within the real estate industry.

Because sometimes, you don’t need another sales script or someone else’s formula for success.

You need space to step back, gain clarity, navigate what’s getting in the way, and build a business that works for you.

Through coaching, Pilar can support you with leadership, decision-making, burnout prevention, boundaries, business growth, change, confidence, and creating greater autonomy in your work.

And because coaching is happening within SK, we can take it one step further.

When the strategy calls for better systems, marketing, or administrative support, our team can help turn those insights into action.

It’s coaching with the bigger picture in mind and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to the real estate community.

Because success should support your life, not consume it.

Coaching & Consulting is now available through SK.

DO YOU NEED TO BE DOING THAT?

You can create the graphic.
Update the CRM.
Schedule the posts.
Send the newsletter.
Handle the paperwork.

But just because you can do something yourself doesn’t mean it’s the best use of your time.

Especially when business feels tighter, days feel busy and demand is high, doing everything yourself can seem like the obvious way to save money.

But your time has value, too.

Running a lean business isn’t about doing everything yourself. It’s about being intentional about what actually needs you.

So the next time something lands on your to-do list, ask:

Do I need to be doing this? Or do I just need to make sure it gets done?

Quick tip for Realtors: Make sure you have a Facebook Business Page.

We see a lot of Realtors using their personal Facebook profile as their main business presence and while your personal profile can absolutely be part of your marketing, it shouldn’t replace a proper business page.

One big reason? Tagging.

When another business, brokerage, photographer, community organization, or professional wants to tag your business in a post, a Facebook Business Page makes that much easier and gives them a professional place to direct people.

But that’s not the only benefit.

A business page also gives you a dedicated professional presence, access to business and advertising tools, insights into how your content is performing, and a place where clients can easily find your business information and content.

And you don’t have to stop using your personal profile!

Your personal page is great for showing the person behind the business and connecting with your sphere. Your business page gives your real estate business its own professional home.

You can have both because they serve different purposes.

It's a small setup that can make a big difference in how easy your business is to find, tag, share, and connect with online.

You don’t have to earn rest.
You need it to do your best work.

In real estate, there is always something else that could be done.

Another email to answer.
Another lead to follow up with.
Another post to create.
Another detail to check.

It can make rest feel like something you’re only allowed to take once the list is finished, but the list is rarely finished.

Rest isn’t a reward for reaching the end of your workload. It’s part of what allows you to keep showing up with patience, clarity, and care.

Your clients benefit when you have the energy to be fully present. Your business benefits when you can think clearly instead of constantly reacting. And the people in your life benefit when there is still something left of you at the end of the day.

Taking a break doesn’t mean you’re less committed to your business.

It means you’re protecting the person your business depends on most: you.

Build the systems. Accept the support. Create the space.

You don’t need to run on empty to prove that you work hard. 🤍

You're Not Forgetful.
You're Overloaded.

Being a Realtor isn't just physically busy, it's mentally busy.

Every day is filled with hundreds of small decisions.

What should I post today?
Did I remember to follow up with that lead?
Should I send another email or give them a call?
When is that condition removal?
Did I update my CRM?
What do I need to do next?

None of these decisions seem overwhelming on their own.

But together, they create mental clutter.

Over time, that constant decision-making can leave you feeling scattered, reactive, and exhausted, even when you've been productive all day.

The goal isn't to become better at remembering everything.

The goal is to make fewer decisions.

Create checklists instead of relying on memory.

Use templates instead of starting from scratch.

Build routines instead of reinventing your process every day.

Because every decision you eliminate creates a little more space for what really matters—serving your clients, growing your business, and enjoying your life.

Sometimes the best way to work smarter isn't by doing more.

It's by having to think about less.

The little things matter. ✨

When clients think back on their experience, they probably won't remember every document they signed or every form you prepared.

But they will remember how you made them feel.

They'll remember that you called when you said you would.

That you explained the next step before they had to ask.

That you checked in after possession.

That you remembered something personal they shared with you.

These small moments might seem insignificant in the middle of a busy day, but they're often what transform a transaction into a relationship.

The little things aren't just nice extras—they're what build trust, confidence, and long-term loyalty.

Because in the end, people may not remember every detail of the transaction, but they'll always remember how you made the experience feel.
