There’s growing reason to feel encouraged about where the market is heading. From Sept. 27–Oct. 3, 2,707 buyer appointments took place across the region, showing that buyers are still engaged, active and ready to move when the right opportunity appears.

At the same time, 385 new listings came to market, up 14.9% from the comparable week last year, giving buyers more choice and helping create the conditions for stronger activity ahead. While sales are still rebuilding, the market is clearly not standing still—buyers are looking, sellers are adjusting, and more opportunities are entering the market.

That combination points to a market that is finding its balance, rebuilding confidence and creating real hope for stronger momentum in the weeks ahead!

🏡 September 6 - 12, 2026 📈 Confidence may be starting to return on both sides of the market.

This week saw 2,632 buyer appointments, up 8.1% from last week, while September activity is running 26% ahead of the same time last year. That’s a strong sign that more buyers are feeling comfortable getting off the sidelines and exploring a move.

And sellers appear to be gaining confidence too, with 406 new listings hitting the market this week.

More buyers looking and more sellers listing creates something we haven’t seen enough of lately: momentum.
It’s still early, but if this confidence continues to build, we could be heading into a more active fall market than we saw last year.

For clients who have been waiting for the market to show some life, these are numbers worth paying attention to.

Splashtown Niagara did such an amazing job for our group with making sure everything went as smoothly as possible so kids wouldn’t have long waits getting on the inflatable playground and brought in extra lifeguards for the day to keep things moving and ensure our kids safety!

I am also so thankful for the owner of flip-flop forts for coming in on her day off and making sure that we were all set up with forts for the day - for those that opted in!
