Splashtown Niagara did such an amazing job for our group with making sure everything went as smoothly as possible so kids wouldn’t have long waits getting on the inflatable playground and brought in extra lifeguards for the day to keep things moving and ensure our kids safety!

I am also so thankful for the owner of flip-flop forts for coming in on her day off and making sure that we were all set up with forts for the day - for those that opted in!

One of the most encouraging trends this week is the continued resilience of the summer market. This week recorded 3,055 appointments, up from 2,869 at the same point last year—an increase of 186 appointments (6.5%). Compared to 2024, appointment activity is up by 438 appointments (16.7%), showing a significant improvement in buyer and seller engagement during a period that has traditionally seen activity slow.

Summer is typically when the real estate market begins to cool as families take vacations, long weekends reduce showing activity, and many buyers and sellers delay their plans until September. Historically, this seasonal lull has resulted in softer appointment numbers throughout July and August.

This year’s data tells a different story. Rather than experiencing a sharp drop, appointment activity has remained above the 3,000 mark, suggesting that motivated buyers are continuing to tour homes and sellers remain confident enough to bring properties to market. Maintaining this level of engagement through the summer creates a stronger pipeline for new listings and future sales as we move toward the fall market.

While weekly fluctuations are always expected, the ability to outperform the last two summers during one of the year’s quieter periods is an encouraging sign that the market’s underlying demand remains healthy.
