Meet Brittany Staatz, a dedicated Qualico team member for over 18 years!
Starting right out of college as a temp, Brittany has built her career in warranty at ServiceQ—growing her skills and knowledge every step of the way. With a background rooted in a construction-focused family, she brings a strong understanding of the industry and a natural ability to navigate challenges with confidence.

Beyond her role, Brittany is an active member of the Qualico social committee, where she gives back to the community—a part of her work that she finds especially meaningful and rewarding.

Brittany’s journey is a great example of how passion, growth, and community come together to help build better cities.

We’re excited to welcome our 2026 Summer Co‑Op students to the Qualico team across Manitoba.

Each year, our co‑op program brings in talented students who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute in meaningful ways—and this group is no exception. From architecture and engineering to construction management, they represent a wide range of disciplines that help shape the communities we build.

Over the summer, they’ll gain hands-on experience, build connections, and play an active role in our projects and teams. We’re looking forward to learning from their perspectives just as much as they learn from us.

Meet Russ Hepburn, Plumbing Supervisor at Star Plumbing & Mechanical, and a dedicated Qualico team member for 27 years!

Russ joined Qualico in 1998 after being encouraged by his father, who also worked with the company and set an inspiring example from the very beginning. Since then, Russ has built a career rooted in hard work, service, and pride in the trades.

With a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience, Russ is committed to understanding homeowners’ needs and finding effective ways to support them. Meet Keith Fraser, Production Manager for the Wall Panels Division at Star Building Materials! Since joining Qualico in January 2025, Keith has driven innovation and efficiency in prefabricated wall panel production.

Keith played a key role in launching the division, using smarter design and precision engineering to cut framing time by 50%, improve quality, and deliver tailored solutions that ensure steady project progress with minimal site time.

A standout achievement is the Fireweed Project, where Keith’s four-person team completed 13 two-story homes for Kensington Homes in under four weeks. This incredible success highlights the impact of prefabrication, teamwork, and efficient project management.

Keith embodies Qualico’s mission of Helping Build Better Cities by fostering innovation and collaboration, ensuring families move into their homes faster.

On April 28, we pause to remember, reflect, and renew our commitment to building a safer future for everyone—on our job sites and beyond. Safety is a shared responsibility, and together we continue working toward workplaces where everyone goes home safe.

In recognition of , our regional IT team led an E-Waste Recycling Day in the Winnipeg office.

The event helped raise awareness about the importance of recycling old electronics responsibly.

Many of the devices we no longer use — like old phones, cables, and outdated computers — contain valuable materials such as glass, plastic, gold, silver, copper, and palladium that can be recovered and reused.

Much of sustainability comes down to steady, practical decisions made every day by teams across our business units. Initiatives like this show how local action can contribute to a broader impact.
