Bump Update ✨️ I've been a little quiet

Things have been a little chaotic with this pregnancy, which tracks 🤪 In early June during my routine ultrasound, I was told I was being immediately referred to Mt. Sinai in Toronto for complications. The very next day, I was diagnosed with Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). The babies weren't sharing resources properly, which was dangerous for everyone.

Thankfully, it was caught early. I actually didn't meet the criteria for intervention yet, so I continued at Mt. Sinai every few days for monitoring, until I underwent in-utero surgery. Not having the surgery really wasn't an option, but it came with its own risks, including a very real chance of loss.

Thankfully, the surgery went well (I was awake for the whole thing, science is WILD), my weekly follow-ups have been mostly positive, and we're now 26 weeks and less worried. I'll almost certainly have them earlier than expected, even for twins. (Kind of ironic that I'll do anything early, the universe really does have a sense of humour.)

Even with everything going on, work has remained a priority. It has to be, but it's also been a welcome distraction. I have systems in place, so your needs and questions will never take a back burner, and I'm so grateful for the friends, clients and colleagues who continue to support me through every season.

I also can't say enough good things about the care I received at Mt. Sinai. While it was all incredibly stressful, I never once felt rushed, unimportant, silly or routine. These specialists see cases like mine every day, but their bedside manner and level of care were unmatched. I truly believe the outcome we've had so far is because I was lucky enough to be in their hands.

I've had to take a step back from physically attending ALL. THE. THINGS., but rest assured I'm still very involved in our community even if you haven't run into me in a while.

All this to say: I'm still here, the babies are still here, I'll continue to work and the level of service will remain unchanged. And if you're lucky... you might even get to hold a really tiny newborn at an upcoming showing 💙💙

Another Revel Family Pool Party in the books. ❤️☀️

Every year it's one of those events that reminds me how lucky I am to be surrounded by such incredible people. Sure, it's a pool party. We eat, we laugh, the kids run around, we catch up with people we don't see nearly enough. But it's always so much more than that.

People choose where they work for all kinds of reasons. Splits. Branding. Marketing. Technology.

And while those things matter, I've realized over the years that they're not what makes a brokerage feel like home.

Your commission split isn't the thing that shows up with treats for Leroy after he breaks his leg. It isn't the one dropping baby supplies on your front porch. It isn't the one checking in when you unexpectedly end up in the hospital.

The people are.

I've been incredibly fortunate to build friendships here that go so far beyond real estate. The support, the encouragement, the willingness to help each other, and the genuine excitement for each other's wins... it's something really special.

With two littles arriving in just a few months, I find myself appreciating it even more. Knowing I have an office full of people who genuinely care about me, both as a Realtor and as a person, is something I'll never take for granted.

Days like this are just a reminder of how good we really have it. And I honestly couldn't imagine doing this career anywhere else. ❤️
