First proper heat wave of the year is here — and it's got me thinking about all the empty houses around here baking away while their owners are off enjoying summer elsewhere.

Genuine question for those who've done a few Costa Blanca summers: what's caught you out with leaving a place empty in this heat? I'd love to hear the things people learn the hard way.

Und falls einmal etwas repariert werden muss, übernehme ich die Abstimmung mit den Handwerkern direkt vor Ort – auf Spanisch, sodass Sie sich nicht aus der Ferne und in einer fremden Sprache darum kümmern müssen.

A little about me...

Hi, I'm Jill, the person behind Arden Property Care. 👋

I'm originally from Germany, but Spain has been my home for almost 10 years now, and I've been lucky enough to live in beautiful Guardamar del Segura for the last five.

Before starting Arden, I spent many years working in international compliance audits, where attention to detail, reliability and clear communication were part of my everyday life. But over time, I realised that what I enjoy most is helping people directly and building genuine relationships.

As a homeowner abroad myself, I understand how important peace of mind is. You want to know that someone trustworthy is looking after your home when you can't be there. Someone who notices the small things before they become big problems, who communicates honestly, and who genuinely cares about your property.

That's why I created Arden Property Care.

I'm not an estate agent or a large company. I'm your local point of contact — someone who knows the area, keeps a close eye on your home, and is there when you can't be. I intentionally limit the number of properties I care for so that every client receives personal attention and a service built on trust.

Whether it's regular inspections, preparing your home before you arrive, coordinating maintenance or simply being there when you can't be, my goal is simple:

Your home looked well-looked after while you're away. Ready when you return.
