When colleagues ask why I’ve blocked two months of my calendar for a project still in the land option phase in Southern Spain, my answer is simple: I am coming for the architecture of the model
The decision to cluster the 130 micro-factories into a single district next to the school and entrepreneurship center is planning genius. The community's children will grow up seeing real creation, while the business center serves as the beating heart of the village
My time there won’t be spent lecturing. I will be on the ground inside the studios, solving practical efficiency issues: doubling small-space crop yields, implementing future food tech to extend shelf life, and stabilizing production processes from day one
Since not all 130 micro-businesses will focus on agriculture, with designers and tech creators joining the community, bringing in rotating mentors from diverse fields is critical. This variety ensures we build a living, breathing incubator rather than an "isolated farm"
I am not coming to "save the world," and this isn't about marketing promises...... the wave of 700 organic prospects proves people want this. I am coming because this will be Europe’s first practical laboratory for a micro-economy. It is our chance to design the blueprint for future European communities
My commitment is signed. I look forward to seeing the first tractors on the ground in Jimena

My decision to join Huella Verde Jimena together with my partner, an architect, comes from a deep desire to be part of a community that lives differently, a place where health, nature, and people come together. At the medical center that will be created here, I will bring pediatric care with a personal and professional approach, with a strong focus on prevention, balance, and real support for families. To me, this is the true advantage of such a community, health becomes part of daily life, not only a response when problems arise.

My name is Marisol, and I create garments from natural fabrics: cotton, linen, and pure sheep’s wool. In winter I work with warm, natural wool, and throughout the year I dye my fabrics using organic colors extracted from flowers, inspired by a traditional Japanese technique. My creations reflect respect for nature, authenticity, and timeless quality
When I first heard about the Huella Verde Jimena project from friends, I immediately felt it was the right place for me and my daughter, who is in kindergarten. I realized that my business could truly flourish here. The presence of a unique commercial hub of approximately 150 boutiques and studios creates a powerful and focused buying force far stronger than that of a single shop in a city. This village has a clear identity, attracting a discerning audience seeking a curated destination that brings together a wide range of ecological and environmentally friendly products and services

My name is Danielle, and I am a wild plant foraging teacher. At the school to be established in the Huella Verde Jimena community, foraging will be an integral part of the curriculum—a living, hands-on lesson that connects students to nature, heritage, and practical knowledge with modern relevance.
Our classroom will be the landscape itself. We will begin with guided walks of up to thirty minutes around the village, gradually expanding to excursions within a thirty-minute drive to the fields, hills, and forests of Andalusia, in Cádiz, near the renowned natural park. At times, we will even discover valuable plants within the village. Students will learn to identify local flora and understand their nutritional and medicinal properties.
During these lessons, we will transform wild plants into wholesome foods, healing infusions, and natural remedies, while cultivating environmental responsibility and respect for the land. This approach fosters independence, sustainability, and essential life skills.
For me, foraging is more than a profession—it is a way of life. For the students of Huella Verde Jimena, it offers a rare opportunity to grow within an inspiring environment where ancient wisdom meets innovative education. It is not only a lesson in nature, but a subtle investment in a healthier, more conscious, and economically resilient future.

I have been following the Huella Verde Jimena project for quite some time now, and honestly ,I feel like I am witnessing a rare moment where an idea is gradually becoming a living, breathing reality
I am writing these words not only as a dentist who works exclusively with natural materials, but as a person who deeply believes in healing of the body, of the environment, and of community. Perhaps this is why this project has touched me so strongly from the very beginning
There is something difficult to put into words about what is happening in Jimena de la Frontera. This is not just another real estate initiative. It feels like a living fabric of people who are remembering how to truly live together
Even before physically settling on the land, there is already a closed and active community forming around this vision where members actively support, encourage, and strengthen each other’s businesses, share ideas, and collaborate on development. It is a rare model of pre-emptive community building, where cooperation exists before construction even begins
What feels strongest to me is that we are no longer in a “far dream” stage. Something is shifting….. It is becoming real. You can almost see it: the homes, the business studios, the community spaces, natural healing centers, the quiet, the life slowly but surely being built
I find myself thinking often: maybe this is exactly the moment when an idea becomes an invitation. Not just to watch from the side, but to become part of it
There is a feeling in the air of renewal. Of beginning. Of moving from theory into life
And simply put it is no longer “what if.” It is “very soon it will be here"
And I, as someone who accompanies people every day in healing processes, cannot help but feel that this is one of those moments in time when something big starts to move

A Satellite Community Within a Global Network

At the heart of the project is a Creative Learning Lab, where ideas are explored, skills are shared and new forms of learning and collaboration emerge. Around it operates a Business Eco-Center, where experienced entrepreneurs and creators from the community mentor other members and help new initiatives grow.

The Eco-Center focuses on regenerative green-tech ventures, supporting projects that combine technology, ecology and responsible design. It is a place where practical ideas can develop into real businesses that respect both nature and community.

Huella Verde is more than a residential project. It is also a dynamic economic ecosystem, creating more than 120 eco-business opportunities within the community. These initiatives generate sustainable income for residents while also strengthening the surrounding region.
