Some of the most beautiful and promising homes in Sóller are barely inhabitable by modern standards. A townhouse that’s architectural features have been left untouched for decades, maybe centuries. As long as the feeling inside is right and its character is intact (even if it’s floors and ceilings are not), we see a potential project. We strip everything back to the bare foundations to reveal hidd

en character, focusing only on the fundamentals – the feeling of the space, the way light passes through the rooms, the orientation, where the sun rises and sets. Whether we’re renovating a run-down building or designing a new low-impact home, our philosophy is always the same. We use the finest natural materials from the island and partner with local contractors who understand the region’s history and can help us build a home that respects its surroundings. At Berrow, we shape a bold new vision that transforms more than a century of stories into a modern home that will last for the next 100 years and beyond.

On Sóller’s most distinguished boulevard, Ca’n Batlet stands as a quiet testament to the valley’s golden age.

Built in 1900 and meticulously restored, its 749 sqm unfold in a seamless dialogue between Art Nouveau heritage and contemporary craftsmanship. Light filters through palms and plane trees, illuminating interiors layered with bespoke pieces and carefully curated vintage design.

Our next chapter is taking shape.
As the studio continues to grow — with the recent arrival of Carolina, architect, and Sara,
architect and interior designer — our workspace is evolving alongside it.
We are currently transforming a space office designed to reflect our identity through the iconic
elements that define Berrow: considered materials, sculptural forms, balanced proportions, and
a dialogue between heritage and contemporary living.
The space will also include a dedicated showroom — conceived not as a display, but as an
experience. A place where clients can step inside and truly feel the atmosphere of a Berrow
home: the textures, the light, the rhythm, the intention behind every detail.

What once felt enclosed and understated has been carefully reimagined — its original stone walls preserved, restored, and quietly elevated.

Rather than replacing history, the renovation chose to honour it, allowing texture and time to remain visible while introducing a new sense of light and openness.

A slender, semi-circular pool now traces the space with intention, designed to maximise every metre while creating natural points of gathering. Its elongated form draws the eye outward, softening the geometry of the courtyard and inviting moments of pause, conversation, and connection.
