I’m not sure we could ask for a better review… 😊
I’m still nervous every time we welcome guests, always hoping that we’ll meet their expectations, so it’s still such a lovely surprise to receive comments like these.
As we start to wind down our fourth summer season and look ahead to our future plans for Gites rue du Chateau, these words mean so much❤️
A huge thank you to this happy, beautiful group of friends and their families for choosing to stay with us … and, of course, to Api 🐶 for being part of the fun.

Information for guests: 🏆 ⚽️
There will be a real sense of excitement around the Ruffec football stadium this weekend as groups of young people from Cumbria in England, come together with other young players from across the region for this tournament. Tournoi National du Stade Ruffécois U11 U13 Coupe Cristaline
We always look forward to welcoming our guests and seeing the stadium come alive with football, friendship and plenty of enthusiasm. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and, most importantly, enjoys the experience ⚽️👏

It’s been an incredibly hot summer here in France, and certainly not without its challenges when it comes to keeping our guests as comfortable as possible ☀️🥵

Our two pools have been very much welcomed and very well used 💦

It’s been lovely to see our guests making the most of all our facilities and, more importantly, enjoying the whole concept of staying at Gites Rue du Château. 🧚‍♂️

The days are still reaching the mid-30s, but there’s definitely a change in the air. I can feel the turn as we head well and truly into mid-August and towards the end of our busy season and look forward to the next and a slower pace 🎃 🍂

And we always appreciate it when guests staying in our home recognise the care and effort that goes into making sure they, their families and friends have as comfortable and enjoyable a stay as possible. It a small gesture that genuinely makes our day ❤️

So, a huge thank you to Ben and his lovely family for our latest review. 🥰 Your kind words are very much appreciated and we’re still holding on to our now, 4 year, 5-star run ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😃 🙌

Ruffec’s Annual Guinguette - one of our favourite events of the year, set beside the river and the town's historic lavoir.

The traditional long tables, delicious food, and the happy buzz of conversation, all accompanied by the amazing band, La Roulotte à Swing 🎶, made for an incredibly traditional French summer evening. 🇫🇷☀️🍷 🥰
