Together with our furbabies we made the move to France in 2024.We have over 60 years in hospitality between us and look forward to welcoming guests to our beautiful , tranquil home with an expanse of nature ,walks and cycling routes on our doorstop.

Another big tick today , kitchen units made and all in situ . Tomorrow the floor to the bathroom and mezzanine will be laid 😁

2 days , 2 rooms have the floor laid . Tomorrow is to give the knees a rest ,so kitchen unit kind of a day will be for the boys and for me , the last ceiling to paint and one final beam to stain .

Storm incoming ... 10 minutes , thunder, lightening, rain,hail and back to sun . It's like being abroad 😂. Luckily we were in safe hands with the boys taking it on🙃🙃🤣

Is happy , today the chandelier was hung 4.8m high , taking centre stage on the vaulted ceiling .

This field of crimson clover planted in our hamlet makes my heart sing . Providing endless nectar for the bees, nitrogen back into the ground and later feed for the cattle.

Ready for 2026 season , new liner , pool is refilled, chemicals in and pump turned on . One huge tick , Now to do some maintenance on surround and get the sun loungers out ready for May 1st .

Day 1 of pool liner replacement, apologies to our neighbours for the noise of the vacuum pump, sadly it will be on all night . Water level needs to be 18" in shallow end before it can be switched off , day 2 will commence Wednesday ... #
