Windsor Forest Court

Windsor Forest Court Windsor Forest Court is a secluded complex of executive Ascot apartments, situated within Mill Ride Golf & Country Club estate.

Windsor Forest Court is one of a number of luxury apartments in Ascot, other lets are also avalbe within Grand Regency Heights, Sovereign Gate and Quadrella Gardens. Truly stunning and of historical interest, Windsor Forest Court was built in the early 1900s by Sir Henry Waldren to stable the King’s polo ponies - a gift from the Queen to her son, King Edward V11. The polo stables were converted in

to 21 apartments in 1998 when the surrounding estate was developed into Mill Ride Golf Course. More recently, the apartments have been tastefully renovated to a high luxury standard internally, whilst retaining the beautiful original character of the exterior. This is a peaceful and secure haven within the gated estate of Mill Ride Golf & Country Club. Less that 1 mile from the prestigious Royal Ascot Racecourse and convenient for the M3, M4 and M25 motorways. There is a frequent rail service from Ascot Station to London (under an hour's journey time), Reading and Guildford. Ascot High Street is a 5 minute drive with all local amenities and plenty of good restaurants, cafés and bars. Within 3 minutes walking distance from the apartments there are a few local shops including; post office/newsagent/general store, butcher, a fine Indian restaurant 'Mango' and a thai/chinese/take away, as well as a local, well stocked Library. Tesco and Waitrose Supermarkets are also easily reached, both some 15 minutes drive away. The two major nearby shopping areas are Windsor, (the Royal Windsor shopping area located within the old Victorian Railway Station) and Reading, where the fabulous 'Oracle' shopping, dining and entertainment mall can be found. Windsor Forest Court is approximately 20 minutes drive from both Windsor and Reading and 30 minutes away from London Heathrow Airport (20 minutes from the British Airways Terminal 5). In just 45 minutes you can be right in the very centre of London's West End.

Today, the World’s No. 1 player proved why he’s No. 1! Barbara and I send congrats to Masters Tournament winner and first-time major champion Scottie Scheffler!

Scottie will tell you that he didn’t have his best game at certain times, but he did what champions do. And that was to resort to a great short-iron game, some excellent putting, and very good discipline. I am very happy and proud of Scottie. Here’s a young man who has won four times in less than two months, and I thought his whole week of golf was terrific. He did what he had to do—and more!

That was a fantastic round today by Rory McIlroy. To finish with a 64—and he played well enough to go even lower!—is a pretty darn good round, but unfortunately a little too late.

It was just such a good Masters Tournament! It was wonderful to see all the patrons back and the roars return. Both the players and patrons endured some rough weather and conditions during the tournament, but on cue, it finished with a beautiful, if not gorgeous, Masters Sunday!

Happy Birthday Gary Player

Gary Player, 86 years old! Good gracious!

Gary, you are a marvel. You’re down to playing golf only 6 days a week. You still break 70 about 90 percent of the time. I just don’t understand why you don’t find some rejuvenation potion or fountain of youth in a bottle, and get back out on the PGA TOUR. They’re missing you out there.

My friend, you’re an amazing man, an amazing friend. When you get back down here to Florida, and if you want to get up a game of golf, well, you can play by yourself. Because I can’t keep up with you. Congratulations and have a well-deserved Happy 86th! Barbara and I wish you many more.
