This charming cottage located 1.5 miles from the sleepy village of Hutton offers a welcoming and very comfortable base from which to explore this quiet and unspoilt area on the English/Scottish border. Decorated and furnished to a very good standard with sneck doors and double glazed sash windows, Hutton Castle Barn Cottage is a south facing end terrace on a country lane which is opposite a working farm from which organic eggs can be purchased. Cosy all year round, the cottage is only 15 minutes from the centre of Berwick upon Tweed with its charming medieval walls, and offers a variety of everyday shopping. There are a choice of beaches nearby notably Spittal and Coldingham and of course the glories of the Heritage Northumbrian Coastline are also within very easy driving distance - Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and beach and the bustling seaside village of Seahouses. Only 1 hour’s drive from Edinburgh for an alternative day trip the cottage is in an ideal location for fishing, cycling, golf and the historical sites for which the Borders are famous for.
