Rental demand is rising as the supply of homes continues to tighten. 🏡

The latest Zoopla Rental Market Report highlights renewed pressure across the UK rental market, with the average rent for a new let now standing at £1,343 per month – 2.6% higher than a year ago.

At the same time, the number of homes available to rent is 3% lower year-on-year, while the flow of new properties entering the rental market has fallen by 6%. Competition is increasing too, with an average of 5.3 enquiries for every rental property, the highest level for almost two years.

The figures highlight a continuing challenge within the UK housing market: demand for quality homes remains strong, while supply remains constrained.

Supporting the next generation at High Wycombe Rugby Union Football Club 🏉

As proud sponsors of High Wycombe Rugby Club, it’s fantastic to see the Boys U15 team getting stuck into their fundraising ahead of their tour to South Africa next Easter. 🇿🇦

The boys spent last Saturday packing and carrying bags for customers at Waitrose High Wycombe, raising funds towards what promises to be an unforgettable experience for the team.

A big thank you to Waitrose High Wycombe and everyone who supported the boys on the day – and well done to the team for putting those bag-packing skills to the test! 👏

Unfortunately we have been informed by the council that we are unable to use the pitches at Kingsmead to help enable the grass to recover from the hot summer.

As a result there will be no mini and junior rugby at the club this weekend. But watch this space as we try and sort a contingency plan for next weekend!!

UK base rate holds at 3.75%… what does this mean for the property market? 🏡

The Bank of England has kept the base rate at 3.75%, providing some stability for borrowers following its latest interest rate decision.

According to Zoopla, the decision comes as UK inflation fell to 2.6% in June, moving closer to the Bank of England’s 2% target.

Mortgage affordability remains an important consideration, but greater stability in borrowing costs could help support confidence and activity as we move into the autumn market.

For developers, it reinforces the importance of delivering the right homes, in the right locations, at the right price – something that remains central to our approach at Revere Homes.

The next Bank of England interest rate decision is due on 17 September 2026.
