Hi All, it has come to our attention there have been questions raised regarding the vehicles dumped in the lay-by opposite the Arran Heritage Museum. This is Arran Estate land and thanks for your concern.

The debris between the two campers is actually the remains of one of the two caravans that had been dumped here some time ago. We removed the rest of the two caravans at the end of last week but couldn’t fit any more on the trailer. We will be removing the remaining camper vans in due course. Arranging this does, however, take time and come at a cost so please bear with us.

We installed foundations for gate posts earlier in July and once cleared this lay-by will be closed off to try and prevent further dumping.

We have had a lot of interest in Saltwater Gallery at Cladach which is coming available to let from October.

🦌⚠️ Please Don’t Feed the Deer ⚠️ 🦌

They may look calm and docile, but the Red Deer rut is about to begin and those deer you see gently wandering around Lochranza Golf Course and Lochranza Caravan and Campsite may not be so friendly in a month’s time.

We ask everyone to refrain from feeding the deer year‑round. When deer lose their natural fear of people, they can become dangerous during the rut, increasing the risk of injury and sometimes leading to unnecessary culling.

Please also take care not to get too close to stags, even for photography. Keep a safe distance and enjoy observing these magnificent animals responsibly.

Rain Rain go away 🌧☔️

While parts of the country are still crying out for a bit of moisture Arran Show day managed to land on a day when the wind and rain decided to put in an appearance.

Still great to see such good attendance and located at a stunning location on Glenkiln Farm at Lamlash. The sun did come out on occasion but the wind was fairly gusting and a few of the exhibitors tents decided that they would be leaving early! 🌪️
